Descriptions about Angle Grinder

Angle grinders may be used for removing excess material from a piece. There are many different kinds of discs that are used for various materials and tasks, such as cut-off discs (diamond blade), abrasive grinding discs, grinding stones, sanding discs, wire brush wheels and polishing pads.

The Angle grinder, also known as the grinder or disc grinder, is a type of grinding tool used for cutting and grinding glass steel. Angle grinder is a portable electric tool for cutting and grinding glass steel, mainly used for cutting, grinding and brushing metal and stone.
Common models of Angle grinding machines are divided into 100 mm (4 inches), 125 mm (5 inches), 150 mm (6 inches), 180 mm (7 inches) and 230 mm (9 inches) according to the specifications of the accessories used, and the small-size Angle grinding machines used in Europe and the United States are 115 mm.

Types of Angle Grinder: Angle grinders Compact Angle grinders and large Angle grinders, compact Angle grinders: ultra-light, some with safety rebound switch configuration – to meet the requirements of novice diagonal mill operation; Large Angle grinder: Powerful and suitable for difficult grinding and cutting operations.

The main distinction between the two is that an angle grinder is a handheld, portable tool, whereas a disc grinder is a sturdy piece of machinery. A disc grinder is typically used for precision work on smaller workpieces, whereas an angle grinder is used for rough cutting and grinding.

A cut off tool can only be used for cutting, whereas an angle grinder provides you with cutting, shaping, sharpening, grinding, and other functions. A cut off tool can be easily operated with one hand, while the angle grinder requires both hands.

Angle grinders get their name from the disc’s placement at a right angle to the handle’s axis. A safety guard casing is placed around the grinding discs to protect the worker’s eyes and prevent grinding sparks from striking his face.

The voltage of the Angle mill is usually 220 volts or 110 volts, depending on the grid voltage standard in the area. 220 volts is a common voltage specification in Europe and Asia, while 110 volts is a common voltage specification in the United States and Canada.
Angle grinder is a kind of power tool widely used in metal processing, building decoration and other fields, for grinding and cutting metal, stone and other materials. Many users will have questions about their voltage specifications when using the Angle mill. So, how much is the voltage of the Angle mill?
First, the common voltage specifications of the Angle mill
The voltage of the Angle mill is usually between 110 and 220 volts, depending on the grid voltage standard in the region. In general, 220 volts is the voltage specification commonly used in Europe and Asia, while 110 volts is the voltage specification commonly used in the United States and Canada. Therefore, when purchasing and using an Angle mill, it is first necessary to confirm whether the voltage of the home power supply and the voltage of the Angle mill match to avoid motor damage.
Second, voltage selection and use precautions
Confirm voltage matching: Before using the Angle mill, be sure to check whether the power supply voltage is consistent with the Angle mill voltage. If it is not matched, it may not only cause the Angle grinder to not work properly, but also damage the motor.
Use the right plug: Select the right plug according to the voltage specification. Plug standards may vary from region to region, so make sure the plug matches the socket to ensure safe use.
Maintain voltage stability: Stable voltage diagonal mill is essential for normal operation. During use, voltage fluctuations should be avoided as much as possible, so as not to affect the performance and life of the Angle mill.
Third, high-performance Angle grinder example
The BOSCH GWS 2200-180 Angle mill, for example, is a professional-grade Angle mill with an electrical voltage of 220 volts, suitable for most industrial environments. Its input power of up to 2200 watts ensures strong cutting and grinding capabilities, while the low-vibration design and optimized cooling system make long hours easier and more reliable.
In short, the voltage of the Angle mill is usually 220 volts or 110 volts, depending on the grid voltage standard in the region. When selecting and using an Angle mill, it is important to pay attention to issues such as voltage matching, plug selection and voltage stability to ensure the safe and efficient completion of the task.

Safty Instruction

A recoil is a sudden reaction to a squeezed or stuck spinning wheel, back pad, brush, or any other accessory. Squeezing or hooking causes a rapid stall of the rotating attachment, which in turn causes the uncontrolled power tool to be forced in the opposite direction to the rotation of the attachment at the restraint point. For the previous ample, if the grinding wheel is snagged or pinched by the workpiece, the edge of the grinding wheel entering the pinch point may penetrate deep into the surface of the material, causing the grinding wheel to crawl out or kick out. The wheel can jump towards or away from the operator, depending on the direction the wheel is moving at the squeeze point. Under these conditions, the grinding wheel may also break. Kickbacks are the result of misuse of power tools and/or incorrect operating procedures or conditions and can be avoided by taking the appropriate precautions given below.
a) Firmly hold the power tool and adjust the position of the body and arms to resist the recoil force. Always use an auxiliary handle (if provided) to maximize recoil or torque reaction during start-up. If proper precautions are taken, the operator can control the torque reaction force or recoil force.
b) Do not put your hands near rotating accessories. Accessories may bounce off your hand.
c) If recoil occurs, do not place your body in an area where the power tool will move. The recoil will push the tool in the opposite direction to the wheel movement at the hook point.
d) Be especially careful when handling corners, sharp edges, etc. Avoid bouncing and snagging attachments. Corners, sharp edges, or bounces can easily snag rotating accessories and cause loss of control or recoil.
e) Do not install chainsaw woodcarving blades or serrated saw blades. This blade can cause frequent recoil and loss of control.
